Our group was founded on the belief it is important to educate the ISO, MSP and Banking Communities with the constantly changing information our industry dictates. We are committed to bringing you this information by involving all aspects of our community.
Our mission is to provide a regional opportunity for training, education and networking in the Midwest acquiring community. We provide a forum for the discussion of issues related to the merchant bankcard services industry. Our annual conference covers the latest developments, sales opportunities and newest products in merchant bankcard.
The professionals who come to the conference include merchant level salespersons (MLS), bankers, ISO managers and owners, consultants, industry experts and vendors. We pack the conference with opportunities to do business, dialog with the experts, hear great motivational messages and network with everyone.
We are a not-for-profit, no-membership independent forum dedicated to you. We welcome your feedback and input.

The Midwest Acquirers' Association (MWAA) awarded Linda S. Perry the MWAA Lifetime Achievement Award for 2010 at its recent Eighth Annual Conference. Linda Perry is known to most of the payments industry from her 17 years at Visa, Inc. from which she retired in April 2009. For a substantial part of her career there she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquirer and Processor Sales for the US. The MWAA presented the MWAA Lifetime Achievement Award for 2010 to Ms. Perry on Thursday afternoon, July 22, 2010, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel in suburban Chicago.
"Linda Perry has been at the focal point of merchant acquiring in her role at Visa," said Mark Dunn, Treasurer, MWAA and President, Field Guide Enterprises, LLC, an independent consulting firm in electronic payments. “She shaped the acquiring strategy of the largest association in the payments industry for many years, and continues to provide context to her clients for new developments in electronic payments.”
Linda Perry currently heads up a strategic business development consulting practice that advises merchants, processors and new acceptance and acquiring companies. Her assignments include her role as EVP Global Marketing and Sales for ISTS Worldwide, a payments software development and consulting company. She is also an Advisor to PESystems, a company with patented technology for analyzing interchange and lowering cost for merchants. She also developed a widely read industry newsletter, organized the US Acquirer Council, established an annual global executive forum in Paris, and she introduced many new products to the acquiring marketplace. In addition to these achievements, Ms. Perry served as a member of The Electronic Transaction Association’s Board of Directors for 13 years. She is a founder of W.net and continues to serve on its Board of Directors.
Former recipients of the MWAA Lifetime Achievement Award include Donna Embry, 2009, Kim Fitzsimmons 2008, Mike Ponder 2007, Dick Draper 2006, John Rante 2005, Paul Green 2004 and Bob Carr 2003.
The MWAA Eighth Annual Conference was held at the modern Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. The event brought together 470 payments industry executives from across the US for a three-day meeting.
